Two lesbian-themed shorts by German filmmaker Petra Clever are featured. Nerdy college student Nikki signs up for the school's all-girl American football squad and is drawn to the action─as well as a teammate─in "The Mermaids," starring Ania Niedieck and Mira Herold. And "Lady Pochoir" follows bike messenger Yv on her nighttime rounds as a graffiti painter whose art─and looks─catch the eyes of a policewoman and a publisher.
