Deliver to
On the front lines of World War I, a battle-weary French officer (Warner Baxter) finds himself beset with new challenges, from his still-eager new second (Fredric March) making time with the nurse (June Lang) he adores, to the fact that the new wave of enlistees he must send to certain doom includes his own father (Lionel Barrymore). Howard Hawks helmed this redo of the 1932 French opus "Wooden Crosses," using some of the original's battle sequences; William Faulkner co-scripted. 96 min. Standard; Soundtrack: English Dolby Digital mono.
