The Rocket

A young boy in Laos becomes an unlikely hero after the difficult circumstances of his birth mark him as "cursed" and a tragic accident later brands him as a source of certain bad luck. Displaced from home by a dam construction project, the boy and his family embark on a treacherous journey through their war-torn country, with a peasant "uncle" who idolizes Jimi Hendrix and a rocket-building contest soon to change their lives forever.
