The Sound of Summer

It was the sweltering height of the dog days, and a lissome young coffee shop worker (Kaori Hoshino) made the mistake of snickering at an oddball customer (Shinya Hankawa) who came in bearing carriers full of cicadas. Over time, the oppressive heat and omnipresent hum of the bugs would drive her to paranoia--and her obsessed belief that the patron planted them in her body would have horrific consequences.
