Before she became Prohibition-era New York's most notorious speakeasy hostess, Texas Guinan made her bones as a silent-era movie cowgirl. In "The Stampede," tomboy Tex Henderson (Guinan) sets out to impress her heartthrob (Francis Ford, who directed) by striking it rich in Gold Rush California.
