The Story of Seabiscuit

Lively, family-oriented (albeit fictionalized) biodrama of the famed racehorse is told from the perspective of an Irish student nurse (Shirley Temple) accompanying her horse trainer uncle (Barry Fitzgerald) to Kentucky. Having lost her brother in a riding accident, she’s torn when her uncle persuades the young jockey (Lon McAllister) she loves to ride Seabiscuit to victory.
