Tammy And The Bachelor (1957)

The first entry in the "Tammy" series stars Debbie Reynolds as author Cid Ricketts Sumner’s ever-cute and perky country gal. Tammy Tyree falls in love with pilot Peter Brent (Leslie Nielsen) while nursing him back to health after his plane crashes. Peter returns home, but soon finds Tammy on his doorstep when her grandfather (Walter Brennan) is arrested for moonshining. Are the mismatched pair meant to be? Fay Wray, Mala Powers co-star.
