After the New South Wales government went silent on a proposal to recycle water collecting in abandoned subway tunnels below Sydney, TV journalist Natasha Warner (Bel Deliá) brought a crew to the site in search of an exposé. As they journeyed underground, however, the hapless investigators would discover an underground lake--and a monstrous inhabitant who didn't take well to the intrusion.
