Disenchanted after the suicide of his best friend, newspaper reporter Jim Bronson (Michael Parks) hits the road on his Harley-Davidson, embarking on a journey of self-discovery. He meets a kindred spirit in runaway bride Temple Brooks (Bonnie Bedelia) and soon the pair is off to New Orleans, searching for life's answers together.
