In postwar Rome, Delia Santucci (Paola Cortellesi, who directed and co-scripted) had a 24-hour day caring for home and kids, as well as whatever outside piecework she could find--the proceeds of which she turned over to abusive husband Ivano (Valerio Mastandrea). At her lowest ebb, she found her optimism rekindled due to receipt of a mysterious letter. Acclaimed, neorealism-tinged dramedy also stars Romana Maggiora Vergano, Giorgio Colangeli. 118 min. Widescreen; Soundtrack: Italian; Subtitles: English; theatrical trailers. In Italian with English subtitles.
