In mid-’50s coastal California, crime journalist-turned-grifter Marty Lakewood (Billy Zane) and his hooker twin sister Carol (Gina Gershon) had shared a damaging upbringing as well as a less than healthy sibling closeness. After Marty catches the attention of repressed, well-off lady cop Lois Archer (Sheryl Lee), the Lakewoods think it’ll be their last hustle...but their problems are just beginning.
