Anxious to make it home for Christmas, a college girl (Emily Blunt) finds a classmate (Ashton Holmes) willing to make room for her in his car. When the two become stranded in a snowbank after an accident, their claustrophobic predicament leads first to heated conflict, and then to icy chills, as it becomes apparent that ghosts may be haunting the wilderness where they are trapped. “Wind Chill” (2007) co-stars Martin Donovan, Ned Bellamy.

Gillian Anderson scorches the screen in the lurid thriller “Closure” (2007), playing Alice, a middle-class woman who seduces a security guard (Danny Dyer) into following her to a wild party in the countryside. Happening upon a band of violent, sex-crazed hunters, the couple endures a brutal assault during which Alice is sexually assaulted. Steeling their nerves, they set out to even the score. With Antony Byrne, Francesca Fowler.

Finally, after her friend is murdered, an investigative reporter Rowena Price (Halle Berry) is determined to find the killer. Her prime suspect is high-profile ad exec Harrison Hill (Bruce Willis), with whom her friend was exchanging sexually explicit emails. Going undercover as a temp at Hill’s agency while secretly engaging in her own erotic online chats with him, will Rowena find herself next on his list? Gripping thriller “Perfect Stranger” (2007) co-stars Giovanni Ribisi. 4 2/3 hrs. total.
