Unambitious veteran cop Li (Chow Yun-Fat) was already miserable being partnered with overeager rookie Tso (Conan Lee) when they were tasked to investigate the slaying of a hench (Phillip Ko) working for the crime boss, Mr. Law (Norman Chu).
