Silent cinema's top cowpoke, Tom Mix, rides tall in the saddle in six short sagebrush tales. Ranch hand Mix woos a mail-order bride from Chicago in "Cactus Jim's Shop Girl" (1915) and tries to rescue "The Auction Sale of Run-Down Ranch" (1915); robbers endanger Tom's plans to marry his gal in "Five Thousand-Dollar Elopement" (1916); Tom gets arrested so he can be put in a lady lawyer's custody in "Legal Advice" (1916); a would-be writer comes west looking for "Local Color on the A-1 Ranch" (1916), which Mix is happy to give her; and Tom and the owner of the ranch where he works compete to catch a pretty artist's eye, in "An Angelic Attitude" (1916). 82 min. total. Standard; Soundtrack: music score. Silent with music score. Plays All Regions.
