At first blush, veteran filmmaker Tommaso (Willem Dafoe) seems to be living the life--keeping a happy household in Rome with his younger spouse (Cristina Chiriac) and toddler, creating at his own pace, and basking in the attention of youthful acolytes. However, the confidence masks an ongoing recovery from alcoholism...and the pain of confrontation when he suspects his wife of infidelity.
