Stylish, sparkling comedy of manners and misdeeds from director Ernst Lubitsch stars Herbert Marshall as Gaston, a sly thief out to woo and fleece French perfume company owner Mariette (Kay Francis). Gaston's scheme is threatened when a fellow criminal and ex-lover (Miriam Hopkins) joins the household staff for her own con and he finds himself falling for Mariette.
