Hojound is one of the fundamental training methods of Uechi-Ryu. It's defense and offense techniques performed in the Sanchin-dachi posture have many variations. Hojoundalso allows you to gain more speed, more resistance and to develop perseverance. Your performance in competition will naturally improve the more you practice. In this DVD, Master Takemi Takayasu shows you in detail every possible application of Hojound. Additionally, other exercises are also shown, including techniques using ordinary objects, such as a grip, an inner tube, and tennis balls. As far as the "Dan-Yakusoku-kumite of kentyukai" is concerned, it is an exercise that helps enhancing the muscular strength of the arms and of the torso. Master Takemi Takayasu also shows self-defense techniques against two attackers. Finally, he demonstrates the "extreme strengthening of the body" by letting himself be attacked by one of his students whose weight is 65 pounds greater. He hits the Master with full force with tsukis and keris on the shinbone, on the thighs, on the forearms, on the chest, on the abdomen, on the dorsal muscles, on the back, on the knees and on the open hand. This ultimate demonstration of defense will stun anyone. Languages: French - English - German - Spanish - Japanese; Extra Features: Photo Gallery - Artistic Gallery - Interview - Bloopers - Trailers.
