In this World War I melodrama─the next-to-last film produced by Thomas Edison's film studio─a wealthy, atheist, and racist American (Raymond McKee) enlists in the Marines only to find his prejudices challenged during combat. Wounded and hospitalized in the company of Germans, the soldier's arrogance is deflated by the compassion he receives from those he despises. Marguerite Courtot, Erich von Stroheim also star. 55 min. Standard; Soundtrack: music score. Silent with music score. Plays All Regions.
