Untouched (Sombra verde) is a strange and exotic romantic adventure set at the edge of civilisation.
Scientist Federico (Montalbán) is tasked with taking a journey into the jungle to search for a rare medicinal root. When he becomes desperately lost, he is rescued by a farmer, and soon begins a torrid affair with the farmer's beautiful daughter, played by Mexico’s national scream queen, Ariadne Welter.
The breathtaking cinematography by Alex Phillips deservedly won the Ariel Award (Mexico’s equivalent of the Oscars®) in 1955.
