Soon after he is betrothed, a prince (H.B. Warner) yearns to experience the life of the "simpler" folk rather than fall in line with his responsibilities as a royal. All it takes to spur him into action is a meeting with a vagabond artist (Dorothy Dalton), which inspires him to travel incognito in search of the real romance he feels is lacking in his world of opulence.
