Vanity Street

A starving actress (Helen Chandler) commits vandalism in the hopes of a jail cell and a meal, but the sympathetic arresting cop (Charles Bickford) lines her up a chorus job instead. Wanting more out of the relationship, she starts flirting with a local hood (George Meeker) to make him jealous...and the policeman will have to come to the rescue again when she's accused of the punk's murder.
