The German high command thought it would be a propaganda coup to stage a soccer match in occupied Paris between the Reich’s top players and a team of Allied POWs. While the prisoners go along with the event just to facilitate a planned escape, the game becomes a symbolic struggle that both sides want to win...at any cost. John Huston’s stirring World War II drama stars Sylvester Stallone, Michael Caine, and Max Von Sydow, as well as Pelé and other global soccer stars. 116 min. Widescreen (Enhanced); Soundtracks: English Dolby Digital Surround stereo, French Dolby Digital mono; Subtitles: English, French, Spanish; theatrical trailer.
