A small-town plumber (Guy Kibbee) became a wealthy--and extremely stingy--man when he got into the bathroom fixture-manufacturing business. But he gets a much-needed wake-up call when his long-suffering wife (Aline MacMahon) throws his penny-pinching ways back in his face, just when Kibbee is trying to impress a new client, in the comedy "Big Hearted Herbert."
