In their first starring vehicle "The Cuckoos" (1930), Bert Wheeler and Robert Woolsey are phony fortune tellers taking time from fleecing the guests at a Mexican resort to help a young heiress (June Clyde) in her forbidden dalliance with an aviator (Hugh Trevor). Dorothy Lee, Jobyna Holland also star. In his solo vehicle "Too Many Cooks" (1931), Wheeler's building a dream house for spouse Lee--but a raft on in-laws are looking to claim dibs on the guest room! Roscoe Ates also stars. Woolsey's concurrent solo project "Everything's Rosie" (1931) casts him as a sideshow patent-medicine huckster who finds that carny life might no longer suit his adoptive daughter (Anita Louise). John Darrow also stars. The costume comedy "Cockeyed Cavaliers" (1934) offers Bert and Bob as knockabout vagrants in Old England who manage to get themselves mistaken for the royal physicians! Lee, Thelma Todd, Noah Beery also star. Duped into setting up practice in a ghost town, frontier dentists W&W try to steer a wagon train from an Indian attack in "Silly Billies" (1936). Lee, Harry Woods, Chief Thunderbird also star. Three-disc set also includes "Dixiana". 8 hrs. total. Standard: Soundtrack: English Dolby Digital mono.
