In the U.K of World War II, rationing precious goods--including liquor--worked its hardships even down to the tiny Scottish isle of Todday. When a U.S.-bound freighter bearing 50,000 cases of Scotch founders offshore, the thirsty locals decided to mount a salvage mission...if they could only get around their finger-wagging minister (James Cosmo) and the tightly-wound Home Guard officer (Eddie Izzard) trying to maintain order. Spirited re-do of the classic Ealing farce co-stars Sean Biggerstaff, Ellie Kendrick, Naomi Battrick, Gregor Fisher. 98 min. Widescreen; Soundtrack: English.
