Harlon Mackey (Krause) has been haunted by visions since his alcoholic father forced him to kill a rabbit while hunting. Now that Harlon is a bullied high school teen, his undiagnosed mental illness is getting worse. He starts to hear voices and his imagination spurs him to carry out violent acts. But things begin to look up when Julie (Robertson), a rebellious young girl, moves to town and befriends Harlon. When she betrays him, however, the rabbit and his other visions taunt him into committing one final act of revenge. Reality begins to darken in this intense thriller.
