Conceived as a pilot for a would-be television series, this gripping thriller was inspired by the 1972 film "They Only Kill Their Masters." Andy Griffith stars as the sheriff of a Northwestern ski resort town who must track down a vicious serial killer. His only clues are the cryptic spray-painted messages the murderer leaves next to each victim. With John Larch, Tim O'Connor, Lawrence Pressman, Joyce Van Patten, and, in an early role, Nick Nolte. 94 min. Standard; Soundtrack: English Dolby Digital mono.
