Born with both male and female genitalia, Alex (Inés Efron) faces a series of difficult struggles at the onset of puberty. The teen's family moves from Argentina to Uruguay in order to be close to the child's father (Ricardo Darín), a marine biologist, and as raging hormones take their natural course, Alex becomes increasingly confused about the choice of living as a boy or a girl.
