Director Alain Resnais co-wrote this creative adaptation of two Jean Anouilh plays to tell the story of stage actors who gather at the behest of a recently deceased playwright with whom they had all collaborated. The challenge the deceased poses to the mourners takes an interactive and transforming turn when they are asked to rethink their work with him by viewing the videotape of a performance of his play "Eurydice."
